WHAT'S UP:: Here's an update!

Hey there, babes!

Wow, talk about a season of change!  This past week I've felt like the Universe's Energy has shifted completely.  There is that undeniable crispness these cool, sunny September days.  Its safe to say that fall has arrived, at least here in Portland.

And how on-point is my fate that with the turning of season, the waning of daylight, and the steadily increasing layers of cashmere, that I've found a cozy new salon to snuggle up to and call "home".

THE GORGEOUS J. HENRY SALON:

(207) 358-7555

The team at J. Henry welcomed me so warmly, and I felt as though I was meant to be a part of it.  The space is located in the heart of the Old Port, nestled amongst drool-inducing local/indie boutiques, cafe's overflowing with plaid-clad espresso sippers, and to die for dining that Portland, Maine is known for.  Location aside, this salon is top-knotch beautiful.   I'm totally BEYOND excited to be working with:
L'Oréal Professional INOA AMMONIA-FREE PERMANENT HAIRCOLOR!

If you've "liked" my Hairstylist Meghan Harrington FB
then you know I'm in love with this haircolor!

This tantalizingly techy (yay!) professional haircolor uses a L'Oréal patented Oil Delivery System that negates the need for ammonia!  Ok ok ok OK: alkaline color goes away from oil like a magnet, and towards water, which is in the cortex of the hair shaft.  YA' SEE!?

I eagerly test drove a fiery fall copper (6.40):

OMG I LOVE IT SO MUCH!
(Hey, Frey.)

Styled in poor lighting...BUT STILL!

Thank you J. Henry, so glad to be with you! <3

SO, thats mostly what's been new with me.  I'd love to hear whats been new with y'all, my doves.
Spread the love,

GREETINGS, FRIENDS: Welcome to the Bang Theory!

Dearest friends,

OH MY DARLINGS HELLO AGAIN!

I know, its been awhile and so very much has happened.  First and foremost: WELCOME to my new blog- the Bang Theory!  I'm currently a free agent after a series of unfortunate events and am excitedly shopping for my next workspace.  No chips on these shoulders, but I certainly do need to work on my understanding of unreasonable professional politics, and I absolutely MUST keep talking about HAIR!  I'm driving my boyfriend crazy, I swear (sorry, babe ).

I'd like to also take a moment to sincerely thank all my friends and clients for their continued support and encouragement.  You mean the world to me, and my career would be obsolete without you!

Ok, ok ok,
MY BEAUTIFUL BANG THEORISTS!
Lets get started.

What could be more perfect of a title for our newborn blog, since the BANG itself is the BIGGEST THING THIS SEASON!? I love it, I'm always obsessed.  There's a couple different ways to wear your big bang this fall, and both are bold as all ever.

BELOW THE BROW:
Erin Featherston, Fall '12

Marni, Fall '12

Elie Saab, Fall '12

The long fringe was haute and heavily present on the runways of Marni, Elie Saab, and Erin Featherston.  This is a super trendy and surprisingly low committal way to try fringe this fall.  I first saw it on the eternally beautiful Jessica Biel last month, and it seems to have sparked a BIG, sexy, BANG BONANZA!
It's okay if you drool, I did too.

The bang begins below the brow, so it can be grown out fairly easily and can double as a sexy side swoop at any point!  Petite faces with sharp features may want to be careful with the thickness of your fringe, as a look so solid could be slightly overpowering.  But come on, this is undeniably bangin' and will keep you looking fresh as the foliage starts falling.

THE BABY BANG:

We all fell in love with that dragon tattooed dark angel, Rooney Mara, and her baby bangs last spring.

The baby bang heard round the world.

Versace fall '12

Calvin Klein, fall '12

Versace, again, fall '12

The baby bang is a MUCH more definite and defiant style to carry.  It's strong, sharp, and sculpted, creating a chiseled angle around the face.  A little bit rockabilly, reminiscently retro, and a whole lot of angsty art school: this bang is badass meets business.  Perfect for petite profiles.  Alternatively those with more a formidable frontal should stick with longer, brow-skimming lengths.

Stuck somewhere in between?  Any form of fringe will work this fall!  Check what Rooney's tiny trimmings have turned into:
Ms. Mara, I love where this is going!

And here's a frisky little fringe I gave my ladylove, Jordan of Proper Vintage recently.  She, like the fellow goddess above, is on the grow from her summer shorties.  Swoosh, get it girl!

Jordan Haddadi, High Priestess.

Well babes,
its GREAT to be back in business.  I've missed you so, and thank you for checking out my new project.  Stay tuned, be sure to follow, and spread the love, loves!

Con amor,
Meg
